What Happens When You Assault Fire Rescue

On April 23rd 2022, Fire rescue received a 911 call from a man who was feeling short of breath after drinking heavily. The man, identified as 37-year-old Miguel, was found anxious and pacing on the sidewalk by two responding officers moments after the call was made. The man refused medical help from EMS and made way to de-board the ambulance. More officers arrived on the scene to help subdue Miguel after he unlawfully shoved a paramedic in the shoulder with open-palmed hands. Miguel was transported to the hospital for medical clearance. He was charged with Aggravated Battery on a Peace Officer, and Resisting or Obstructing Peace Officer.
