I started this channel to share my enthusiasm and passion for all things personal finance and investing. In this introductory video, I provide a quick background on who I am.

As an Irish citizen living between the US and Ireland, I have spent more than a decade in academia with advanced degrees from Trinity College Dublin, Cambridge University, and Northwestern University. I hold a tenured, named professorship in Economics at Villanova University. I have also spent time at the Federal Reserve, the University of Pennsylvania, and various stockbrokers, charity organizations, and research think tanks. As a Macroeconomist, some of my specialties include computational economics, international and financial economics, and econometrics. I have published and researched in other areas too such as the economics of inequality, economic growth, monetary economics, asset pricing, and portfolio theory.

As an active investor, I have over a decade of experience with multiple asset classes including public stocks and index funds, bonds, crypto, options, futures, precious metals, real estate, watches, and cars. I founded and currently run several companies in real estate (short-term/long-term rentals including renovations) and other investment classes.
