This is an overlooked concept that I've seen contribute to shoulder injuries like rotator cuff problems. Bicep curls especially can help build strong and stable shoulders. Not to mention, you'll be isolating your Biceps more and not using secondary muscles or compensatory movement. Always bear in mind there are no truly isolating exercises- when you do one exercise for a muscle group it often takes many others cooperation to make it happen.
