After coming out of slavery in ancient Egypt, the Israelites spent 40 years wandering the wilderness (Joshua 5:6) and in Numbers 25, while camping at a place called Shittim, the men of Israel started whoring with the daughters of Moab and the daughters of Moab invited them to sacrifice to their gods (Numbers 25:1-2). This is a common tactic of the enemy to cause a schism between YAH and Israel and that tactic is used against us unto this very day; it's part of the crafty counsel spoken of in Psalms 83:3-4 "They (the gentiles) have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted against Your hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance." Now, although Numbers 25:1 says the men of Israel whored with the daughters of Moab, the strange/non-Israelite woman that Phinehas killed to end the plague amongst Israel was Midianitish; Moses even commands the Israelites to smite the Midianites at the end of chapter 25 (verses 16-18). Nowadays, most people will say, "We're all god's chosen people, god loves everybody, and love is love," but pay close attention to what's true in the scriptures and what's not. The New Testament is NOT scripture. 1 John 4:16 "...god is love, and he who abides in love abides in god, and god in him" is a blasphemous statement suggesting that all love is good and everyone who loves is righteous; beware of the New Testament. Psalms 139:21 "Do not I hate them, O YAH, that hate You? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against You?"
