We are joined by Ben Britton, who is a Community Leader in Illawarra who is speaking out against the offshore wind project just announced by Federal Minister for Climate Change, Chris Bowen.

Ben joined the Australian Army 2007 as an infantry paratrooper in the Third Battalion Royal Australian Regiment. A year later, Ben was deployed in Timor-Leste for 8 months as part of the Ready Company Group. Overall, Ben spent seven years in the Army, despite suffering two injuries.

Since that time, Ben has worked as the Chief Information Security Officer for a defence contractor and has extensive knowledge, experience and expertise in cyber security.

With the announcement of the Labor’s plan for the 1022sq/km offshore wind project between Stanwell Park and Kiama, Ben is standing up for his community and resisting Labor’s blatant disregard for the local Illawarra community.

Ben also has a lot to say on Opposition Leader, Peter Dutton’s recent announcement that a Coalition Government will build 7 new nuclear power stations around the country.
