I Will Not Draw Today! (A Procrastination Tale)

I will not draw, not here, not there.
I will not draw, not anywhere!
I won’t draw pictures, big or small.
I won’t draw anything at all!

I’ll lay in bed, I’ll mow the lawn,
I’ll fold the clothes and just move on.
I’ll scrub the dishes, sweep the floor,
But pick up a pencil? Nevermore!

You can’t make me, don’t you try,
I’ll shake my head and say, “Oh my!”
Not today, no, not a chance,
I’d rather do a laundry dance!

So here I sit, with no grand plans,
No pencils here, not in my hands.
Tomorrow, well, we’ll wait and see,
But today, no drawing—not from me!
