Magnitude M 7.1 Earthquake - Xizang, China Earthquake - 7.01.2025

On January 7, 2025, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 struck southern Tibet, China.

The epicentre was located near Dingri County, approximately 157 kilometres southwest of Xigazê City. The quake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 kilometres, resulting in significant damage and casualties.
