DEl initiatives MAY sound good on paper, but when it comes to real-world crises, like the devastating fires in California, they FAIL.

When communities and governments prioritize DIVERSITY over COMPETENCE & MERIT, the cracks show. Firefighters stretched thin, agencies uncoordinated, and lives lost—because the focus wasn't on putting the BEST people in the right roles.
INSTEAD, the focus was on skin color and RACE!

California's wildfires don't care about checkboxes; they need ACTION, strategy, and expertise. It's time to rethink how we approach diversity! We need to return to focusing on COMPETENCY because that actually works when the stakes are life and death.
