Police were given the runaround after trying to catch a loose sheep

Police were led on a baaaarmy pursuit after a loose sheep gave them the runaround as they attempted to catch it. Members of the public contacted the Cumbria police force about 11.30am on Saturday (11th) to say there was a sheep on the loose in the city centre. In a tweet, Cumbria Roads Police said: “A challenging pursuit this morning in Carlisle. “A big thanks to the residents of Coledale Meadows for assisting in detaining the subject who is now safe and sound behind baaars.”
