Synopsis:

Paul "Monk" Baroni, known for his facial disfigurement and leadership of the "Billy Goat Gang," harbors deep-seated anger due to his appearance. Father Callahan, a compassionate parish priest, introduces Monk to boxing as a means to channel his aggression positively. Under the priest's guidance, Monk refines his boxing skills and undergoes plastic surgery to correct his facial deformity. However, his newfound confidence leads to arrogance, straining relationships with those who supported him, including his friend Angelo and love interest Emily.
