U.S. SANCTIONS RSF BUT NOT UAE FOR GENOCIDE

Belatedly, the US has slapped sanctions on the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary in Sudan and its chief - for genocide. The group’s atrocities in the proxy war tearing that country apart have been known about since at least May last year. Shamefully, though, Washington is still refusing to punish the RSF’s main outside backer, the United Arab Emirates. That might have something to do with it being a client of the US.
