LASIK, SMILE, and PRK are three common laser eye surgery procedures used to correct refractive errors like nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

LASIK (Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis) involves creating a thin corneal flap, reshaping the underlying cornea with a laser, and then replacing the flap, offering quick recovery.

SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction) uses a laser to create a small disc-shaped lenticule within the cornea, which is then removed through a tiny incision, preserving more corneal strength and reducing dry eye risk.

PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) removes the surface epithelium to reshape the cornea directly, making it ideal for thinner corneas but requiring longer recovery.
