THE VALIANT was written for Brass Quartet – (Trumpet in Bb, Horn in F, Trombone/Baritone, and Tuba).

One of my fondest memories of being a part of the Seminole High School Band, Seminole, Florida, was the memorable and enjoyable opportunity of playing in a brass ensemble with my friends Kent Gall, Daryl Harpold, Wayne Veith, and Ted Nicholson. THE VALIANT is dedicated to my friends Kent, Daryl, Wayne, and Ted.

It is my hope that THE VALIANT will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play, and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate and encourage their students.
