One of my fond memories of being a part of the Seminole High School Band, Seminole, Florida, was the opportunity of playing in a brass ensemble with my friends Kent Gall, Daryl Harpold, Wayne Veith, and Ted Nicholson.

CROSSWINDS was written for my brass students with the purpose of providing them with an “enjoyable” song to play as well as a tool to improve their instrumental technique.

It is my hope that CROSSWINDS will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play, and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate and encourage their students.
