Before John Carpenter made horror classic Halloween and created the iconic Michael Myers character many on the themes and techniques used in that movie were experimented with here. A true survival horror classic the movie details a group of people trapped and under siege by a coalition of street gangs who attack from the shadows.

The fact that the waves of attackers aren’t zombies or monsters makes the movie scarier especially since it was filmed at the height of the 1970s crime wave when audiences were experiencing gang violence daily in major cities. The current climate makes this movie relevant.
