A Closer Look at the Power and Influence of Robin Vos in the NCSL Foundation

Robin Vos, the Wisconsin speaker of the assembly, holds a powerful position as the President of the NCSL Foundation. In this role, Vos oversees and leads all meetings and is supervisor of the foundation's affairs. Each year, the NCSL organizes a large annual conference, drawing in thousands of state legislators, union and corporate lobbyists, as well as vendors of products and services utilized by state government. Taxpayers foot the bill for legislators to attend this event, which includes numerous panels on a wide range of issues and countless side meetings organized by special interest groups. Regrettably, none of these proceedings are open to the public.
