Matthew 16:13. "When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, 'Who do people say the Son of Man is?' They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.' 'But what about you?' He asked. 'Who do you say I am?' Simon Peter answered, 'You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.'"
Matthew 16:16 "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."
Matthew 16:17-18a “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church."
Matthew 16:18b "On this rock I will build My church, and the gates of..." Hades
Matthew 16:21 "From that time on Jesus began to explain to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life."
Acts 13:36 ”Now when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep."
Mark 12:30 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind."
The second is this:"Love people as yourself.”
We want to be people who love God and love people and serve God's purpose in our world and our generation.
Four types of people we need to reach in our generation…
1.Smart skeptics; our response is learning.
Our goal - have our minds immersed in the Scriptures.
Skeptics believe an educated person can't be a Christian.
2.People living in isolation.; our response; have an environment where it is easy to belong?”
3.Performance based; our response be an oasis of grace

Our motto for 2025 “We will not be a museum for saints. We will be a hospital for sinners."
4. Cause driven people; everybody is serving
