This video is the second part of my two part exploration into the origins of the Dulce myth. We will cover theories as to what caused the original cattle mutilations that kick started the rumours of an underground base, including Operation Gasbuggy, potential psychological operations, environmental testing and much more.

On the Jicarilla Apache Reservation in Northern New Mexico sits the small community of Dulce. Since the late 1970’s it’s become a landmark in the strange world of UFO conspiracy theories, up there with the likes of Area 51 thanks to horrifying tales of alien bases underneath Mount Archuleta. But the real story of Dulce has its roots in the cattle mutilation wave of the mid to late 1970s.

It was these mutilations that caught the attention of UFO researcher Paul Bennewitz, and an Air Force Office of Special Investigations disinformation campaign would help secure Dulce’s place in UFO history.
