Coyote Taken Out of Aldi’s Cold Food Section in Chicago

On January 13, 2025, a coyote was discovered in the refrigerated section of an Aldi supermarket at 800 N. Kedzie Ave. in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood.

The coyote appeared uninjured and was transported to the CACC facility. It is currently awaiting transfer to Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation, where it will undergo a health assessment before potential release back into the wild. No injuries to store patrons or staff were reported during the incident.
