In this episode Bill talks with Pierre Tornkvist of the Swedish punk band Helltrain.
We talk about growing up in a small Swedish mountain town where it's dark and depressing most winters, the old days of tape trading and smuggling music amongst your peers, ordering music from the back of zines and hoping it didn't suck, discovering WASP and Twisted Sister, learning to play music with his little brother Patrik, and starting Helltrain.
We also talked about how Myspace helped connect them Jimmy Pop from The Bloodhound Gang and his help getting them mixed and discovered in the U.S., being featured on MTVs Viva La Bam and a collaboration with Rammstein, working with Daniel Bergstrand at Studio Dug Out, the rerelease of their debut album "Route 666" on vinyl to celebrate the 20th anniversary, plus so much more.
