A curious opponent, the "Extreme Gardener", is actually a mutated plant. This monster, which was created through experiments by the Umbrella Corporation, threatens the protagonists with huge tendrils and deadly spores. It symbolizes the consequences of scientific experiments that get out of control and human hubris.
