Traverse City Area Schools to provide affordable housing to educators.

A group of Northern Michigan Schools have band together to create affordable housing for educators and support staff. The, project, the first its kind in Michigan, is starting in Traverse City. The plan is to build approximately 50 to 75 duplex units next to an elementary school. TCAPS Superintendent Dr John VanWagoner says they have already received $5 million from the state. and are hoping to have a couple million more from the state housing authority.
