America’s Insane Cold War Plans for Greenland

I really wanted to make a video exploring this story for a couple of reasons. The first is that the story of Project Iceworm is wild in and of itself and I learned a lot while researching and producing this video. But secondly, recent stirrings suggest to me that the arctic and Greenland in particular is re-emerging a region of ever increasing importance and learning the history of U.S. Danish relations and tensions gives us a better understanding of the reality of 21st century arctic power.

The goal of NorthHugr is to use quality storytelling and media to learn from the world of the past and enrich our imagination for the future.
