The classic model 39. The first double to single action 9mm designed and produced in the USA. The first Semi Auto made by Smith and Wesson.

Mine is an early version, 39 no dash with a long extractor, hole drilled in the hammer, and apparently a unique slide stop notch. It dates to most likely 1959-1960 based on the information I’ve found.
