Alligators beautiful and ancient animals

There are eight species of alligators, which belong to the crocodile family. Alligators can live up to 100 years. Alligators grow between 2 and 6 metres long and normally live in swamps and lakes. Alligators eat anything they can grab with their mouths. Female alligators lay up to 70 eggs. These beautiful animals live in river water, but can also live briefly in brackish or salt water.
