My review of Dragon Ball Daima english dub.

It seems to be set before the events in Dragon Ball Super since it's Trunks 9th birthday. Trunks is supposed to be around 13 during the first Arc of Dragon Ball Super. This new series introduces new characters to the series. The first episode is similar to the first episode of Dragon Ball Super. The beginning of the episode does a recap of Goku and his battles from early Dragon Ball to Kid Buu. It's also similar in that two new characters are watching the Buu Arc and commenting on it. It reminds me of Beerus and Whis watching Goku's battle with Frieza on Namek. But there are minor differences. The two new characters are watching from the demon realm that was mentioned by the Supreme Kai during the Babidi Arc. One of the new characters is revealed to be Supreme Kai's brother. The other new character is revealed to the new King of the Demon realm since Debura was eaten by Buu. Then another new character shows up and is revealed to be the sister of the Supreme Kai. Evidently, the Supreme Kai has many siblings. There's also a mysterious new character hiding and watching them. This character resembles the Supreme Kai. I wonder if he's another sibling. There are too many new characters to comment on all of them. There are also some mistakes. Shenron is only supposed to be able to grant 2 wishes. During the Cell games arc, Krillin wanted Dende to give Shenron the ability to grant 3 wishes like the Namekian dragon. But Piccolo was concerned about it weakening Shenron. So Dende rechanneled the energy which gave Shenron the ability to grant Two wishes. My other issue is that the Supreme Kai and Kibito were no longer fused. They explained that since Vegito separated when Buu absorbed him, there must have been something inside Buu's body that's more powerful than the fusion earrings so they had good Buu absorb them or whatever he did to separate their fusion. But in Dragon Ball Super, Kibito and the Supreme Kai were separated by a wish from Namek's dragon. Not only that but Goku was unaware that they were no longer fused together until the tournament of destroyers Arc in Dragon Ball Super. Dragon Ball Super takes at least five years after Kid Buu was destroyed. So it takes place much later than Dragon Ball Daima seems to. So far it's interesting but I'm already seeing a few plot holes. It'll be interesting to see where this takes us and if they find a way to reconcile it to Dragon Ball Super. It seems like the only way that they could do that is if they used the dragon balls to undo everything that was done. My overall opinion is that for the most part it's okay. But I need to see where the plot takes us before I decide how much I like it.
