Join OCP Live with Bobby Cleveland and JJ Humphrey. Today Bobby and JJ will report on the incredible increase on assaults on staff. Reports indicate DOC had approximately four (4) this week. Two 2) of the reported assaults were reported as very serious. Assaults on staff are certainly out of control. We were able to verify the officer stabbing at AGCC, but we never got a name. Why when other law enforcement are attacked is it widely reported. These reports bring attention to the dangers of correctional officers and public support. Instead DOC buries and cover up an officer stabbing. This behavior of covering up attacks on officers is disturbing and inexcusable. Despite Director Harper’s false claims that inmate violence is down. Inmate deaths continue with approximately two (2) to (3) deaths this week. DOC is coming up on a one (1 ) year contact for Lawton. DOC has been dumping their dangerous inmates on Lawton. Director Harpe is a disaster and a known liar. What is his plan to house thousands of inmates. He has not built a new prison and He is unlikely to get contacts with any private prison. No one will likely deal with him due to his treatment of private prison. That would appear to leave Oklahoma in a hell of a mess.
