Threatening Text Messages (Part 1) (December 2023)

8:47 – Recording from November 30, 2023 of Joe and Andrew speaking to officer Butcher. Joe informs her that he spoke to officer Bentley the previous day regarding text messages he received where the sender claimed they would to “do something” to the Ditch family. Joe then says that officer Bentley informed him that nothing could be done unless the texts were threatening. After his visit, Joe receives more texts “threatening to break [Andrew's] knuckles.”
11:25 – Recording of Joe speaking to officer Butcher about the text messages. Joe states that Andrew told him that the messages could be coming from a Google voice number. Officer Butcher tells Joe to block the numbers. Due to the inaction of the police, Andrew then claims the police must be behind the text messages.
14:09 – Andrew admits that the police did not believe he took an overdose as he reported he did.
