Yes… Once again we travel into the realm of teacher vs student. Haydn was considered the father of symphonies, and for a time, Beethoven was a student of Haydn’s. However, this powerful combination did not last long due to Beethoven’s rather rebellious nature, eager to experiment more with form, and go beyond the tradition, the two parted ways.
Despite the split, Beethoven was greatly influenced by Haydn’s unique talent. So, let’s look how the these two geniuses did it – and if you think one did it better than the other…
