Synopsis:
Dr. Henry Frankenstein (Colin Clive), an ambitious scientist, becomes obsessed with the idea of creating life. With the help of his assistant Fritz (Dwight Frye), Frankenstein assembles a body using parts from deceased individuals and animates it using electricity during a dramatic lightning storm.

However, the result is far from what he imagined. The creature (Boris Karloff), though initially childlike and misunderstood, becomes violent due to fear and mistreatment. As the monster escapes into the countryside, terrorizing villagers and inadvertently causing tragedy, Frankenstein must confront the consequences of his unbridled ambition.
