Born into royalty in 356BC and tutored by none other than Aristotle himself, Alexander the Great was born into power and privilege. While lesser men would have opted for a life of ease and erudition - Alexander set out on a path that would change history forever. From the day he assumed power after witnessing his father’s assassination as a young man to conquering the Persian empire before he turned 30, the King of Macedon brought about long lasting cultural, trade, and military effects on the people of the near and middle east well into the Roman era.
