This is a very important analysis pointing out that there is no way that the Ukrainian military can win and that Ukraine & the US have no leverage. Unless Trump finally understands Putin's objectives and finds a way to call a halt to this conflict on Russia's terms, Russia will continue the conflict until the Ukrainian military totally collapses. Scott Ritter points out that Russia proposed to NATO & the US towards the end of 2021 how to resolve the situation without having to initiate the Special Military Operation in February 2022. Unfortunately, both NATO & the US ignored Russia's proposals for peace. It will be interesting to see if Trump finally understands Russia's requirements and is willing to bring this to a close on Russia's terms. If not, then we can expect that Russia will continue with this war of attrition until the Ukrainian military totally collapses.
