Today Sunday January 19 at 3:00 pm on Elephant In The Room, JJ Humphrey and Bobby Cleveland will to have a very special guest former State Representative Jason Murphy. Jason is extremely knowledgeable on Oklahoma State Government. JJ and Bob will be asking Jason about the new leadership structure of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Jason has seen a similar structure in the past and he will share his experience and insights on how that structure works. This design appears to allow leadership the ability to completely control all legislation. This means a selected few control the entire process. We will discuss how great bills are killed and often never receive a hearing in House Committees. The bills that do make it through committees may never be heard on the House Floor. Jason is highly respected and we look forward to hearing from him on the new House structure.
