Synopsis
"The Mark of Zorro" (1940), now colorized, is a thrilling adventure film directed by Rouben Mamoulian, starring Tyrone Power as the iconic swashbuckler, Zorro. Based on the story by Johnston McCulley, this film follows the daring exploits of Don Diego Vega, a nobleman in California who secretly becomes the masked vigilante known as Zorro to fight against corruption and injustice.

In the story, Don Diego Vega returns to his hometown of Los Angeles to find it under the oppressive rule of the tyrannical Don Luis Quintero, the corrupt military governor. Disguised as Zorro, a masked hero, he uses his swordsmanship and quick wit to fight injustice, protect the oppressed, and restore honor to the people. As he strikes fear into the hearts of the corrupt, he also seeks to win the heart of the beautiful and independent Lolita, played by Linda Darnell.
