Synopsis
"Run Silent, Run Deep" (1958), now colorized, is a World War II submarine thriller directed by Robert Wise, starring Clark Gable and Burt Lancaster. The film follows the story of a U.S. Navy submarine captain, Commander Rich, played by Clark Gable, who is determined to exact revenge on a Japanese battleship that sank his previous submarine.

After surviving the loss of his first submarine, Commander Rich is assigned to a new submarine, the Barb, and he convinces his crew to join him on a dangerous mission to hunt down the enemy battleship. However, his obsession with revenge leads to friction with his second-in-command, Lieutenant Bledsoe, played by Burt Lancaster, who believes Rich's personal vendetta may endanger the crew.

As tensions mount between the two men, the Barb faces numerous challenges, from hostile waters to psychological pressure.
