AAA games developers are hoping the rumors of Grand Theft Auto 6 launching at $100 will give them justification to raise their prices.

It’s no secret the games industry has been in a rut these last couple of years and studios are looking for a way to capitalize on what they have. With more and more gamers checking out of new games in favor of retro titles, developers are left trying to make more money with their existing customers. However, it’s likely this move will further exacerbate the decline of the industry.
