ACR-I Card Lost? Don’t Panic! Here’s What to Do
Losing your ACR-I Card (Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card) can be stressful, I know first hand because I recently realized that mine was missing, but don’t worry! Follow these 4 steps to get a replacement smoothly and stress free!
A quick tip before we get started… You almost never need your ACR unless you are opening a bank account or when taking care of something visa related, so don’t carry it around keep it put up safe with your passport.
The 4 easy steps.
✅ Type up a letter request for re-issuance for your ACR-I Card – Have the request letter notarized.
✅ Type up an Affidavit of Loss – Have the affidavit notarized, explaining how you lost your ACR-I Card.
✅ Report the Loss – Go to the nearest police station and file a police report as proof of the loss.
✅ Make copies of your Passport Bio-page, latest entry stamp, and visa implementation page

✅ Visit the Bureau of Immigration (BI) – Go to the nearest BI office and request a replacement. Bring:
• Letter request for re-issuance od ACR-I Card
• Police report
• Affidavit of loss
• Passport (original & photocopy) Bio-page, latest entry stamp, and visa implementation page
✅ Pay the Fees – The cost varies, so check the latest BI fee schedule before heading there. I hate to give bad news here but if you have lost your I card you will be spending about 7,000 pesos
✅ Wait for Processing – It may take a few weeks, so keep your BI receipt as temporary proof while waiting for the new card.
