Wine Tasting House of the Dragon 2022 Chardonnay

Everyone else in my family insists this wine smells and tastes like a Chardonnay; maybe it's because I drank it as soon as it was opened or because it needed to be chilled more? I have no idea because to me it smelled and tasted like a dry Riesling from like Germany and not a Chardonnay from California!
