🇷🇺Russian military units in the Special Military Operation (SMO) zone will receive a new UAV with computer-guided homing.

🔺 In the near future, a number of Russian units in the Special Military Operation (SMO) zone will receive a batch of new computer-guided kamikaze drones.

The system recognizes targets without operator participation and can operate in conditions of suppression by EW means.

How this will be implemented in practice remains to be seen, but technical solutions in this direction have been created and have been working for more than two years.

Auto-targeting was successfully tested on the Lancet. The appearance of such an option on FPV drones was limited only by the ability of the industry to implement such solutions in large series (this, by the way, is the difference between industrial production and garage workshops for the production of drones).

It is not excluded that soon FPV drones on fiber optics will also receive a homing system based on computer vision and auto-capture/auto-target tracking.

It is difficult to predict how the battlefield will be transformed in this case, but it is obvious that the most vulnerable link - the operator - is being rapidly excluded from drone control, and the drone itself is rapidly approaching the complexity of design (and as a consequence - the cost) of a missile with a homing head.

The AFU is also following the path of creating similar UAVs and is actively introducing homing technologies.
