Dear friends and connections,

Recently I stumbled upon a latent, silent crisis.
Over the past 5 years, there has been an over mortality in the Netherlands of 10% on average. This is about 15 to 16 thousand people a year who die more than expected. Strangely, this was only reported at the end of 2020. Despite MP Pieter Omtzigt's (https://www.tweedekamer.nl/kamerstukken/moties/detail?id=2021Z22246&did=2021D47333)
motion for academic independent research, government and media continue to look away en masse. Why don't we want to know?

I believe it is essential that more research is done on this and that is why I have started to make a documentary on this and want to interview the various people involved. I am making the film for the IDFA, the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam, which takes place in November.

Over the past three months I have already invested a lot of time in this project: Of the 20 intended recordings I've recorded four of them, interviewed 3 scientists of integrity who do get stuck into this issue. Professor at the VU in probability theory; Professor Ronald Meester, data analyst; Wouter Aukema and statistician and social geographer; Maurice de Hond. They have been sounding the alarm for months, asking for more research into the causes, but are being ignored!!!
