A Russian military convoy carrying tanks, armoured vehicles, and artillery systems was spotted near Bamako, Mali on January 18, sparking global attention.

Reports suggest some equipment was transferred from Syria, while the rest was shipped directly from Russia.

Malian officials claim the equipment is for their national armed forces, but experts link it to the African Corps, a unit created by Russia's Ministry of Defense as a successor to the Wagner PMC. The convoy reportedly includes T-72B3 tanks, BMP-3s, and over 50 additional armoured vehicles.
