SECULAR DEATH METAL

Dear Pastor Bob: A lot of Christians are listening to secular death metal these days. Should believers be doing this? I don’t mean to judge anyone, but what benefit is there in listening to death metal bands such as Cannibal Corpse where all they sing about is blood, gore, and organs falling out your body? Especially when there are many great Christian metal bands out there? I used to listen to stuff like this before I was a Christian. But I don’t have the guts to listen to it now. Sadly, many Christian metal bands listen to this kind of death metal, and even wearing their T-shirts. Doesn’t that ruin their witness? What thoughts might you have on this?
