The Steve Miller Band – Livin' In The USA (isolated/emphasized instruments)

Trying something different here and would really like some feedback. Does emphasizing the instrument instead of isolating it, and keeping the instrument(s) in context, more useful in making for a better understanding of the instrument's part? Does it make learning the part easier? Please let me know. Thanks.
