Episode 538: Help! I keep sinning and I hate it! Part 3

Hello everyone. In tonight's Bible study we continue looking into the very foundation of the New Birth.

What is that?

That is the new creation of our human spirit, the renewing of our soul, and the transformation of our bodies.

Over the past few weeks we have dealt in great details regarding how God kills our old human spirit called the old man. Then God creates for us a new human spirit which He connects back into our old soul, our minds, and place us back into our old bodies.

Both of these entities of our being, remains in their fallen state with a desire for the pleasures of sins and the things of this world.

Wait one minute, Kevin. What do you mean by that? Are you saying that the believer will continue to live a lifestyle lusting after sins?

No, I am telling you the truth directly from the scriptures. That if you do not realize exactly what happened to you and how to control the two parts of you that have not yet been fully redeemed, you will continue to hate the sins you continue to commit!

The scriptures teach that the believer have the "first fruits" of salvation.
Romans 8:23
Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

Philippians 3:21-22
For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

The scriptures teaches that our souls (our minds) must be renewed. Today we know in part, hence the part we know better be the word of God. This is the battle that all believers will fight for as long as we are living in these unredeemable bodies.

The question then becomes, HOW? How can I get my soul under control that it may control my body in a manner that pleases my Heavenly Father, my God, Savior, and King. All I want to do is please Him.

How can I do that? Let's find out together from the word of God.
