General Ignatius Acheampong Opens INTERPOL General Assembly In Ghana | October 14th 1976

The conference had delegates from 90 countries taking part. The opening of the session, the first time it had been held in Africa, ran until the 20th of October. In his opening address, General Acheampong called for delegates to help end international aircraft hijacking, and also complimented Interpol on its efforts to unite developing countries with the rest of the world.
