U.S. Constitution
Delaware, known as "The First State," was the first to ratify the U.S. Constitution on December 7, 1787. Originally inhabited by Native American tribes, it became a key area of European settlement in the 17th century. The state played a significant role in the American Revolutionary War and transitioned from an agricultural economy to a hub of industry and finance in the 19th and 20th centuries.
