Officer conducting traffic stop attacked by bystander

Chandler Dean Grillone, 32, approached an officer who was conducting a traffic stop in the area of 375 South and 765 West shortly before 1:45 a.m. Grillone, who was not involved in the traffic stop, startled the officer while he was inside his patrol vehicle with a female community member who was joining in on a ride-along. He asked the young woman if she would call out the vehicle identification number for him on the truck he pulled over. Within seconds, Grillone came out of the shadows shouting at the officer right at his door.
