the Fourth Turning, a deeper dive!

In the US, a transformation began in 2008 when we entered the Fourth Turning, a crises period, when our social institutions are being destroyed and then rebuilt in response to a perceived threat.
In a nutshell, authors Straus and Howe propose that there exists an 80 year social cycle in every culture, a cycle which is divided into four 20 to 25 year periods called turnings. There is the High, the First Turning, when social institutions are strong and individualism is weak.This is followed by the Awakening, the Second Turning, when people tire of conformity and there is more emphasis placed on the individual and the inner life.Then comes the Unraveling, the Third Turning, when individualism catches up with us and society becomes dysfunctional. Finally there is the crises, the Fourth Turning, when our social institutions implode and are subsequently rebuilt.
In the US the Fourth Turning began in 2008 just as Pluto, the Transformer was entertaining Capricorn. Now almost twenty years later, faith in Government, medicine, finance, religion, education, and the mainstream media is at an all-time low.
Is this mere coincidence?
In this video I explore the similarities between the Fourth Turning and Pluto's transit through Capricorn. Similarly, now that Pluto has entered Aquarius, where it will remain for the next twenty years, I explain how that is likely to affect the rest of this Fourth Turning and make some predictions as to how it will manifest as we enter the next First Turning, sometime between 2028 and 2030.
