“Meet USS Cole survivors, retired Master Chief Paul Abney and retired Petty Officer Kathie Lopez.

25 years ago, Al Qaeda suicide bombers struck the USS Cole off the coast of Yemen; killing 17 sailors and injuring nearly 40 others.

Both Abney and Lopez were inside the high security courtroom this week. Abney has been attending these pre-trial hearings since 2011.

A trial date for alleged mastermind Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri is set for October, 25 years after the terrorist attack.

Herridge: "What can President Trump do?"

USS Cole Survivor: "He can get it to trial...This is the trial that never ends."

Herridge: "Is this what government efficiency looks like?"

My Take:

This is highlighting the fact that these remaining detainees at GITMO have been having endless pre-trial hearings, all at the expense of we the people, and is never ending torture for the family members of the victims who just want to see Justice.

They make a plea for President Trump to get it to trial.

President Trump has always talked about a conversation he had with President Xi Jinping where he said they have “Quick Trials.”

I believe President Trump is going to put an end to the endless pre trials and force quick trials for ALL enemy combatants.
