Episode 541: How to take control of my thought life which controls my behavior Part 3

Hello everyone. In tonight's Bible study we continue looking at the soul of mankind and the impact of what we feed our souls have on our lifestyles.

Do you want a live a life well pleasing to God? If you are truly a child of God, that would be a normal passion.

That type of desire comes with the new birth, it's called the divine nature. Listen to how the Holy Spirit described this transformation through the apostle Peter.

2 Peter 1:2-4
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, THAT THROUGH THESE YOU MAY BE PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption (the sin nature) that is in the world through lust (of our fallen fleshly nature).

Now that we have this new divine nature and a sincere desire to live a lifestyle that is pleasing to God, why then am I still struggling with sin and how can I overcome these things that I now hate?

Well my friend, you are not alone. Every believer have lived exactly where you are living and all have overcome it the exact same way. It is not a secret and there is no secret method.

The answer is found in the word of God and that's what we will study tonight. Let's go.
